Tamil director-cinematographer KV Anand passed away on Friday. 54-year-old Anand died after suffering a cardiac arrest in Chennai.
Anand started his career as a photojournalist and began his journey in films by assisting noted cinematographer PC Sreeram.
In 1994, Anand won a National Film Award for the Malayalam movie 'Thenmavin Kombath', which was his debut film as a cinematographer .
Anand made his directorial debut with 2005 movie KanaKandaen and went on to helm films like Ayan, Ko, Maattrraan, Anegan, Kavan and Kaappaan.
