T20 World Cup 2021: Brett Lee backs KL Rahul to be top run scorer, Shami leading wicket-taker

Former Australia cricketer Brett Lee has backed India's KL Rahul and Mohammed Shami to finish as the top run-getter and the leading wicket-taker respectively in the T20 World Cup Super 12s.

In his column for ICC, Lee wrote that India are probably the favourites with their top 4 or 5 batters and their bowling attack. He feels that purely on the basis last few months.

Talking about David Warner, Lee said that his confidence may have taken a beating after the harsh treatment meted out to him by SRH in the IPL, where he was removed from the team. But Lee feels that the dashing opener is a big stage player, who will be key to the team's success in World Cup.
