The Supreme Court on Tuesday approved the marking scheme proposed by the CBSE and CISCE to calculate the marks for students of Class 12 this year given their regular exams have been cancelled due to Covid. The apex court called the boards’ scheme to assess students "fair and reasonable".
The court also rejected a plea by some parents' associations seeking an option for physical examination and said ‘there is no reason to interfere with the CBSE and ICSE schemes’.
It also accepted the CBSE's plan to hold the compartment exam between August 15 and September 15.
