Champion of sustainability, fashion designer Stella McCartney just launched a new A-Z fashion manifesto centred around sustainability.
Each letter of the manifesto represents a theme like A for accountability and Z for zero waste. The latest Summer 2021 collection has also been introduced in collaboration with 26 artists including Jeff Koons and Sam Taylor-Johnson. Each design in the collection was inspired by a letter or theme in the manifesto. She even pledged to further reduce waste and enhance the company's usage of upcyled fabrics.
In a video presentation, models in hues of rosy pink, khaki, tangerine orange and peach walked around the grounds of Houghton House and Gardens in the UK. Among the highlights were a pink dress made with 50% recycled materials and a fusion of lingerie and swimwear made from sustainable nylon.
