Police in Ambala punished people who were found violating the complete lockdown imposed in Haryana. The violators were made to do sit-ups on the roads. Police said that the violators were let off with warning this time.  A seven-day complete lockdown has been imposed in Haryana till May 10 amid a massive surge in coronavirus cases.

In Madhya Pradesh’s Indore too, violators were punished in a unique way. Indore police punished a group of people who were on their way to conduct a marriage ceremony. Covid-19 protocols set by the state government were violated as their convoy was filled with more people than allowed. The police made them run and hop like frogs amid the sound of their own drums.
