Hardik Pandya came into the T20 World Cup after a disappointing IPL campaign and found himself in the line of fire of trolls after the Mumbai Indians appointed him as their skipper in place of Rohit Sharma.
Most experts and fans not only raised eyebrows over his being appointed as the vice-captain but also questioned his selection in the Indian squad.
However, Hardik silenced his critics with both bat and ball in India's one-off warm-up game against Bangladesh on Saturday.
He came into bat when the Men in Blue needed a big finish and the vice-captain smashed an unbeaten 23-ball-40. That knock included 2 fours and 4 sixes with 3 of those maximums coming off consecutive deliveries.
Hardik also looked good with the ball and picked up a wicket, helping India win the game by 60 runs.
Suddenly, Team India which seemed to be lacking a quality all-rounder looked balanced as Hardik Pandya found his mojo back just at the right time.
