Wrestlers' protest | Grapplers meet Anurag Thakur, make 5 major demands

Union Sports minister Anurag Thakur invited protesting grapplers to his residence to resume talks with the top wrestlers who are demonstrating against former Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

The wrestlers who have levelled allegations of sexual harassment against the BJP MP have made 5 major demands. Let's take a look at them--

1- Wrestlers have reiterated their demand of arresting Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh against whom FIRs have been lodged by Delhi Police.  

2- The Wrestlers who were detained on the day of the new parliament's inauguration for allegedly violating law and order want the FIRs against them to be revoked.

3- The Wrestlers have demanded that a woman should take over the position of the WFI chief

4- The protesting wrestlers have also demanded that neither Brij Bhushan nor any of his family members should be a part of WFI.

5- The grapplers have demanded free and fair elections of the wrestling body whose leadership has been accused of mismanagement and corruption
