Novak Djokovic may be the king of tennis with 23 singles Grand Slam titles to his name but Spanish Sensation Carlos Alcaraz will be referred to as the king slayer as the youngster produced one of his best performances to win Wimbledon 2023 on Sunday.

After losing the 1st set, Alcaraz staged a brilliant comeback victory to beat his opponent from Serbia in an all-time classic 5-set thriller 1-6, 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4.

With that, Alcaraz took his Grand Slam tally to 2, adding his first title since winning the US Open in 2022.

He also retained his men's singles number 1 ranking, with Djokovic remaining at 2.

What made this victory even more memorable was the fact that 20-year-old Alcaraz became the first one to beat Djoker in a Wimbledon final in 5 years.
