The Kazakhstani player failed to get her rhythm going in the first set, losing it 3-6. However, she outwitted Jabeur in the next two sets and became the youngest female player to win a Wimbledon title since 2015.

Rybakina was born in Moscow but moved to Kazakhstan in 2018 after the country offered her funding.
