Watch! Sumit Antil wins record gold in javelin throw at Para Athletics World Championships

Para-athlete Sumit Antil once again made the nation proud as he clinched a historic gold medal in Men’s Javelin throw F64 final event at the 2023 Para Athletics World Championships.

With his best throw of 70.83m, Sumit went on to break his own World Record in the F64 category. In the process, he also cleared the 5th Paris Paralympics Quota for India at this event. 

Sumit had won gold at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics with a throw of 68.55m in the same category.

Apart from him, India's Pushpendra Singh also made a World Record in the F43 category with a throw of 62.09m at the event.
