Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas advanced to the semifinals of the Australian Open after a 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 win over Italy's Jannik Sinner at the Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday.
4th seed Tsitsipas maintained his perfect Grand Slam quarterfinal record as he made easy work against Sinner. He has now advanced to the quarterfinals of all five major tournaments he has played in but is yet to win a Grand Slam title.
Sinner, who had also reached the quarterfinals of the 2020 French Open, had equalled his greatest Grand Slam result by reaching the last eight at Melbourne Park.
Tsitsipas has only won one of his four Grand Slam semifinals, at the Roland Garros last year.
