Top seed Ashleigh Barty cruised into the round of 16 of the Australian Open with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Italy's Camila Giorgi.
The Italian tennis player was no match to the world number 1. Barty won the first game easily by breaking Giogi's service thrice in the first set.
Barty took the charge of the second set at 4-2 after breaking her opponent's service and after three games she secured her place in the last 16 in front of her home crowd.
The Australian will next face Amanda Anisimova - conqueror of defending champion Naomi Osaka.
