The 3 Wushu players from Arunachal Pradesh, who were denied visas to China for Asian Games 2023, returned to Itanagar from New Delhi on Tuesday.

The 3 athletes - Mepung Lamgu, Nyeman Wangsu and Onilu Tega expressed their disappointment on the visa snub.

The athletes also requested the Indian government to resolve the India-China issue sooner rather than later so that such a situation doesn't arise again.

India had hit back at China after it denied accreditation and entry to 3 Wushu players. As a mark of our protest against the Chinese action, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur had even cancelled his visit to China for the Games following the 'discrimination.'
