Ukrainian referee Boris Ryzhik stood with a 'stop war' sign in a Euroleague match sending across the straight message amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Before the tap-in of the European professional basketball club competition between the Olympiacos Piraeus and Milano happened, Ryzhik stood between the two sides with a sheet of paper which had 'Stop War' written over it.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that 137 civilians and military personnel have been killed so far in the Russian invasion of his country. Further, Ukraine’s border guard service had earlier reported that the Zmiinyi island in the Odesa region has been taken by the Russians.
