Sharath Kamal to receive Khel Ratna Award on November 30; Check full list of awardees here

Indian Table Tennis star Achanta Sharath Kamal will receive India's most prestigious sports honour, Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award, on November 30 at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

40-year-old Sharath had a tremendous outing at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, where he won three Gold medals. He won his second Gold medal in the men's singles event after a gap of 16 years in CWG 2022. He also won Gold in mixed doubles and men's team events.

While Sharath is the lone Khel Ratna award recipient this year, a total of 25 athletes including shuttlers Lakshya Sen, HS Prannoy, woman boxer Nikhat Zareen, athletes Eldhose Paul, Avinash Sable have been nominated for the Arjuna Award.

Meanwhile, Team India captain Rohit Sharma's coach Dinesh Jawahar Lad will receive recognition in the lifetime category of the Dronacharya Award.
