Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal and Britain's Emma Raducanu have been named the Best Athlete in Men's and Women's Tennis respectively at the 2022 ESPY Awards.

Nadal defeated Dylan Alcott, Carlos Alcaraz and Felix Auger-Aliassime to win his third ESPY award. Meanwhile, in the Women's Tennis category, Raducanu won the award after beating world No. 1 Iga Swiatek, Ashleigh Barty and Leylah Fernandez.

36-year-old Nadal has won two Grand Slams in 2022  - the Australian Open & the French Open. In Wimbledon, the Spaniard gave a walkover to Nick Kyrgios in the semis due to an abdominal injury.

On the other hand, the British teenage sensation Raducanu won the US Open last year and became the first-ever qualifier to win a Grand Slam in history.

Nadal and Raducanu will be taking part in the US Open in August. While Nadal is chasing his 23rd Grand Slam, Raducanu will be eyeing her 2nd Major.
