Serbian star Novak Djokovic eased into the third round of the French Open with a straight-sets win over Marton Fucsovics on Wednesday.
Third seed Djokovic squandered an early break in the opening set but took the ensuing tiebreaker 7-2 before dominating the second set, forcing three breaks of serve to take it 6-0.
Fucsovics suffered two consecutive breaks to fall behind 5-2 in the third set but kept his slim hopes of a first victory in five career meetings with Djokovic alive by then pulling a break back.
However, the Serbian tamed Fucsovics' serve for a fourth time in the set in the following game to seal a 7-6(2), 6-0, 6-3 win and set up a third-round match with Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, who won his previous meeting with Djokovic at last year's Monte-Carlo Masters.
