Max Verstappen wins French GP after Charles Leclerc crashes out from lead

Max Verstappen registered his seventh win of the season with a comfortable win in the French Grand Prix on Sunday. 

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, who started in pole position, was leading the race till the 18th lap but crashed into the safety tyres. 

Red Bulls' Verstappen crossed the finish line over 10 seconds ahead of Lewis Hamilton, who finished second.

Meanwhile, Hamilton's Mercedes teammate George Russell claimed the third spot.

With 63 points clear of Leclerc, Verstappen has now strengthened his chances of claiming a second successive driver's title.
