Less than 5 years after it was signed, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) ended its 25-year-long Davis Cup deal with former Barcelona player Gerard Pique's investment group Kosmos

ITF and Pique's investment group came together in 2018 in an agreement worth $3 billion for 25 years.

The investment group Kosmos promised to invest $120 million per year in 2018 to revamp the competition for the benefit of all stakeholders.
