It was not just the Indian men's cricket team that reigned supreme on Sunday night but the Indian women's hockey team also made the nation proud.

The Women in Blue thrashed reigning champions Japan 4-0 to win the Women's Asian Champions Trophy in Ranchi. It took India's trophy title count in the event to two, having won the first time back in 2016 in Singapore.

Sangita Kumari (17th minute), Neha (46th), Laremsiami (57th) and Vandana Katariya (60th) scored a goal each, as Japan proved no match for India.
