French Open: 'I was done with tennis', Simona Halep's powerful message after mid-match panic attack

2-time Grand Slam Champion Simona Halep suffered an upset against China's Zheng Qinwen after she endured a mid-match panic attack in the second round match of the French Open. 

The Romanian ace who was knocked out of the French Open after the 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 loss appeared to have difficulty in breathing after winning the first set. She called her trainer but did not look in good shape post that.

Regarding the incident, Halep posted a powerful message on her Instagram. Sharing an image of her coach Pattrick Mouratoglou, the 30-year-old wrote, 'The last 18 months were very tough, emotional, and physical. After losing in Doha, my message to the people very close to me was that I could not do it anymore, that I was done with tennis'. She further thanked Patrick for his help and shared that she has regained her strength and love for Tennis. 

Halep, in her post-match presentation, said that she did not know how to handle the situation and eventually lost focus from the match.
