Novak Djokovic etched his name in history books on Sunday night as he thrashed Casper Ruud to win French Open 2023.

The French Open final proved to be a cakewalk for Djokovic as he steamrolled his opponent from Norway 7-6, 6-3, 7-5.

It will probably be his most memorable win as the Serbian clinched a men's-record 23rd Grand Slam title, leaving behind Rafael Nadal, who has 22.

Just 5 years ago, Roger Federer was at 20 Grand Slams, Nadal 17 and Djokovic at 12. Since then, the 36-year-old from Serbia won 11 of the last 20 slams.

Djokovic came into the clash with a 4-0 record against Ruud and easily made it 5-0. Interestingly, the Djoker has never dropped a set against Rudd in any of those 5 matches.
