Former UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) champion Conor McGregor has been accused of 'violently' sexually assaulting a woman during the NBA (National Boxing Association) Finals earlier this month.
While a case has been filed against the Irishman in the city of Miami, the NBA and Miami Heat are also carrying out a simultaneous investigation against the mixed martial artist.
As per BBC, who have read a legal letter outlining the allegations, the assault took place in the bathroom of the Kaseya Center.
Further, the letter stated that the woman was pushed into the men's bathroom by security guards before McGregor violently assaulted her.
During the final game, McGregor had also made headlines for hitting the Miami Heat's mascot during half-time, later clarifying that it was a stunt for promoting a pain relief spray.
The 34-year-old has, however as per his attorney, denied the accusation and said that he will not be intimidated.
