F1 Bahrain Grand Prix: Ferrari's double dhamaka as they dominate the 1st race of the 2022 season

Charles Leclerc started the 2022 Formula 1 season with a bang as he recorded a stunning win in the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix. The Ferrario driver was clinical as the Italian team completed a 1-2 finish that saw Carlos Sainz Jr finishing 2nd on the podium. This was the first win for Ferrari in F1 in 45 races and the first occasion when the Italian side had a 1-2 finish since Singapore Grand Prix in 2019.

Lewis Hamilton completed the podium as the 7-time Formula 1 champion finished 3rd in the race. Lewis Hamilton completed the podium places, moving up into third after Sergio Perez spun on the final lap following a mechanical failure.

Defending Champion Red Bull's Max Verstappen also dropped out of the race during the last few laps after having problems with his car.
