Climate change activist sets himself on fire before Roger Federer’s final match

On a day when Roger Federer bid goodbye to competitive Tennis, a climate change activist grabbed the headlines before the Swiss Maestro’s final game.

The young man, who was wearing a T-shirt that bore the name of his protest group, ‘END UK PRIVATE JETS’, set his arm alight after running onto the court.

The incident took place midway during the Laver Cup match between Team World’s Diego Schwartzman & Team Europe’s Stefanos Tsitsipas at the O2 arena in London.

While Federer’s match was hours away, the man caught everyone by surprise when he sat down close to the net and set his right arm on fire.

Moments later, the security personnel rushed onto the court to douse the flame and the activist was carried away from the arena.
