PV Sindhu might have become extra determined for the rest of the year after getting knocked out of the US Open last month but her struggle continues.
The 2-time Olympic medallist bowed out of the Australian Open after losing a one-sided quarterfinal match against USA's Beiwen Zhang 12-21, 17-21 in just 39 minutes.
It was Sindhu's 5th defeat against Zhang in 11 meetings.
Sindhu's poor form is a matter of concern ahead of the World Championships, starting August 21.
