It turned out to be a big day for India at the Asian Games 2023 as India completed their biggest single-day haul in the history of the quadrennial event.

India won 15 medals across sports on the day to take the total tally to 53. They surpassed the 11-medal mark of Day 14 of the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou. The nation scored its maximum medals of the day from athletics - 2 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze on the day which was also marred by controversy in the women's 100m hurdles final.

Apart from athletics, India also won a gold, silver and a bronze in shooting. The men's Badminton team also etched their names in history books by winning first ever silver at Asian Games. Apart from that, Nikhat Zareen settled for bronze and Parveen Hooda also assured India of a medal as she entered the women's 57kg semifinals.

India remains in the 4th spot with 13 gold medals, 21 silver and 19 bronze medals.
