India had a terrific day 8 at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, where they added gold medals in Athletics with Avinash Sable clinching the old in the 3000m Steeplechase event and Tajinderpal Toor successfully defending his 2018 gold in Shot Put. India also won a gold in the Trap event in the shooting. Their medal tally will be expected to go up as they play on Day 9. India will be in action in Athletics, Canoe sprint, Kurash, and Table Tennis.
All eyes early on will be on athletics where India has already begun their exploits. For India Tejaswin Shankar, Sandesh Jesse, Ravi Sinchal, and Shaili Singh will be vying for a medal finish in different categories.
India also has a lot of events lined up in Archery and the kabaddi competition will also begin on Day 9 for the nation.
