Asian Games 2023: How Aishwary Tomar and Divyansh Panwar felt on podium after winning gold in shooting

Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and Divyansh Singh Panwar fell short of words while describing how it felt standing on the podium, the tri-colour rising and hearing India's national anthem being played in China.

'It's a very special medal. It's not a normal gold but we also smashed the world record which made it even more special,' said Aishwary after the men’s 10m air rifle team bagged India's first gold medal of the Asian Games 2023.

Divyansh too was overwhelmed by the win and revealed that when they got to know that the trio had won India it's first gold medal, it was an unexpected happiness.

Describing the feeling of standing up on the podium, Aishwary said, 'There's no alternative to that feeling. It's the most proud moment for any athlete when he watches the national flag rise with a gold medal in hand.

Divyansh on the other hand couldn't even express his happiness in words.
