All England Open Championships: Lakshya Sen survives Lee Zii Jia to make it the final four

Lakshya Sen, the last standing Indian in the All England Open Championships, survived a brutal Lee Zii Jia to make it to his second semifinal of the event on Friday. 

In an exhausting 1 hour and 10 minutes, Sen rallied from a game down to fight his Malaysian opponent till the very last point of the enthralling match. 

Lee took the first game 22-20, following which Sen wrested control back to take home the victory 21-16, 21-19. 

Sen faces Indonesia's Jonatan Christie for a spot in the final.

The 22-year-old finished runner-up in 2022 against current world no. 1 Viktor Axelsen in Birmingham.
