With the outcome of the investigation into allegations against Red Bull chief Christian Horner expected soon, F1 great Lewis Hamilton has voiced his concerns regarding the entire matter.

During a press conference with other drivers, Hamilton called the accusations 'an important moment for the sport'.

The seven-time world champion believes, 'We always have to do more to try to make the sport and the environment people work in feel safe and inclusive. Any allegations have to be taken very seriously.'

Hamilton also added, 'It will be really interesting to see how it's dealt with and the effect it may well have on the sport.'

The 50-year-old Horner has been accused of inappropriate and control behaviour by a female employee at Red Bull Racing.

While he has denied the allegations and called them a 'distraction' from his team, an external lawyer hired by Red Bull is investigating the matter.
