Four witnesses have corroborated the allegations made by at least three wrestlers against BJP MP and former Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, reported The Indian Express.

As per the report, one Olympian, a Commonwealth Games medallist, an international referee and a state-level coach who have verified the allegations are among the 125 potential witnesses whose statements have been recorded by the Delhi Police.

The report stated that while the coach told the Police that one of the complainants had informed him about the incident 6 hours after it took place, 2 other wrestlers also backed the other 2 complainants who levelled the allegations of sexual harassment against the BJP MP.

The referee also confirmed the complainants' claim, said the Indian Express report. He told the Police that he had heard about the plight of the women wrestlers when he would travel for tournaments at home and abroad.

Delhi Police filed 2 FIRs after the intervention of the Supreme Court. While the first FIR mentions the allegations of 6 adult Olympians, the 2nd FIR has been filed against the Kaiserganj MP by the father of a minor.
