Shane Bond, the bowling coach for the Rajasthan Royals, was all praise for his players after they defeated the Mumbai Indians led by Hardik Pandya to win their third straight IPL 2024.
With more than 4 overs remaining, Sanju Samson and their team comfortably achieved the target of 125 runs. After the game, Bond discussed a variety of topics, including RR's bowling assault and the rationale behind Riyan Parag's reliable performances.
For the Rajasthan Royals thus far this season, Riyan Parag has been the star. On Monday, the batsman reached his second half-century and was awarded the Orange Cap once more, if only temporarily. According to Bond, Devdutt Paddikal was moved to provide Parag a top-order position.
“He had a wonderful domestic season batting up the order. And with the trade we made to bring in Avesh Khan in place of Devdutt Paddikal, was done to promote Riyan up to a position that was probably suited for him. He’s matured a lot and RR are reaping the rewards of making the investment on him,” Bond revealed during the post-match press conference.
