When his team Chennai Super Kings had dropped 2 catches and missed a run out vs Gujarat Titans in the powerplay itself, Dhoni took matters into his own hands and removed an in-form Gill on 39.
The stumping was so quick that the MSD fans were left nostalgic.
Earlier, CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and opted to bowl first against Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League final here on Monday.
