In a major blow to the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Sri Lankan ace Wanindu Hasaranga has been ruled out of the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League.

Hasaranga, who missed the initial few matches of the league, has been nursing a left heel injury. He is expected to seek medical opinion from foreign experts while keeping his focus on the T20 World Cup in June.

Hasaranga was bought by Hyderabad for Rs. 1.5 crore after being released by Bengaluru last year.

His all-round abilities would've been a major boost to SRH's campaign this year.
