Amidst Rohit Sharma's successful ongoing captaincy stint, the Indian cricket team is also looking for a future captain and former coach Ravi Shastri reckoned that this year's IPL would be an opportunity to unearth a solid future captain for Team India.

Shastri heaped praises on Rohit's current captaincy stint and said "Virat is not captaining anymore, but Rohit has also been outstanding, especially in white ball. India will be looking at who will be captaining the team (in future) -- there is Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul."

The former India head coach also said that the whole country would be watching Hardik Pandya closely in the IPL given everybody knows what he can do on a cricket field.

Shastri is returning to the commentary box after seven years. However, he will be a part of the Hindi commentary team, something he has not been associated with in the past.
