IPL 2024, MI vs DC: Suryakumar Yadav's comeback ends in frustrating duck for Mumbai Indians

A fit-again Suryakumar Yadav returned to competitive cricket after almost 4 months of rehabilitation but failed to immediately deliver the goods for a struggling Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024.

India's Mr.360, as he is fondly referred to, was out for a duck in his comeback match against the Delhi Capitals on Sunday.

Surya missed the first 3 games for MI as he wasn't cleared by the National Cricket Academy.

He endured a grade II ankle tear during the T20I series in South Africa in December last year and was initially sidelined for 7 weeks. However, a subsequent sports hernia necessitated surgery, which prolonged his rehab.

Along with strength and mobility exercises, Suryakumar batted without any visible discomfort to get back in the groove but his return ended in a frustrating duck.
