Yudhvir Singh Charak. Lucknow Super Giants’ newfound pace sensation.

Clocking speeds around 140 kph, the 25-year-old from Jammu & Kashmir bowled an incredible spell on his IPL debut against the Punjab Kings.

LSG did end up on the losing side of a very close encounter, but Yudhvir returned exemplary figures of 2/19 from his 3 overs.

Even though Mark Wood has been exceptional, the supporting cast among the pacers has lacked the requisite bite.

And Yudhvir could be the answer LSG have been looking for.

The 25-year-old from Jammu and Kashmir, however, is not new to the IPL. He was in fact a net bowler for the Mumbai Indians in 2020 before the 5-time champions snapped him up in the very next auction.

While he never got to play for Mumbai, he was bought by LSG in the December 2022 auction.

Before his IPL debut, Yudhvir had played 14 T20s but had taken only 4 wickets. But the youngster from Jammu has only now started finding his feet in the domestic circuit and if his IPL debut was anything to go by, it’s a sign of many great things to come.
