Under fire for his 20-ball 18 in a 200+ run-chase, Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul responded to his critics, stating he had done the right thing.

Rahul's comments come after Nicholas Pooran hit the second-fastest fifty in IPL history and Marcus Stoinis' 65 off 30 balls saw LSG chase down a 213-run target on the last ball.

However, the Lucknow skipper, who has often been criticised for his strike rate in the shortest format, justified his knock owing to the 3 early wickets LSG lost.

He said, "I looked at the situation and I feel I had done the right thing."

Rahul also heaped praise on both Pooran and Stoinis, pointing out that the two points they won are because of the duo's pyrotechnics in the middle.
