MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings will look to register their first win of IPL 2023 when they take on a solid-looking Lucknow Super Giants on Monday.

CSK lost its opening game vs the Gujarat Titans but Chennai's adopted son Thala Dhoni returns to the Chepauk with his Yellow Army for the first time in 3 years.

Though LSG has an upper hand as far as form is concerned, CSK would fancy their chances in front of the home crowd. Dhoni's men have a 70.91% win record at this venue and the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium is often referred to as CSK's Fortress and the "Lions' den".

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Since LSG made its IPL debut only last year, the two sides faced off just once in 2022 and the team from Lucknow won that nail biter game by 6 wickets in the last over.

WEATHER

There is no sign of rain in Chennai but the weather would be humid, with temperature around 30 degree celsius during the course of play.
