After a superb performance in the Under-19 World Cup and Ranji Trophy, Delhi cricketer Yash Dhull is all set to make a mark in the shortest format of cricket.
The Under-19 World Cup-winning captain is also looking forward to meeting his idol Virat Kohli during IPL 2022 and looking to get some valuable tips from the former India captain.
"I am eager to meet Virat bhaiya. He has been my inspiration. I want to ask him how he bats in the crunch and high-pressure games and how he took his fitness to another level", Dhull said in a chat with Times of India.
Dhull is also eager to represent Delhi Capitals in the 15th edition of IPL and wants to learn the nuances of the leadership from captain Rishabh Pant.
Delhi Capitals has bagged Yash Dhull for Rs 50 lakh in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. DC will begin their IPL 2022 campaign against Mumbai Indians at Brabourne Stadium on March 27.
Dhull made a superb debut in the Ranji Trophy and became only the third Indian batter to score a century in each innings of his debut game.
While representing Delhi in India's premier domestic tournament, Yash scored 479 runs in three matches at a staggering average of 119.75, including two centuries and one double ton.
