Royal Challengers Bangalore's Virat Kohli has become the first RCB batter to cross the 7000 T20 run-mark after smashing 73 off 54 balls against Gujarat Titans on Thursday at Wankhede Stadium which RCB won by 8 wickets.

The former RCB captain had been struggling to get his good form in the previous matches but came back to form when it mattered the most.

A win against Gujarat was much needed for RCB as they are on the edge of elimination and a loss would have harmed their hopes for playoffs qualification.
