Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered a big defeat to Rajasthan Royals in their first match in IPL 2022. The match saw a controversial dismissal of Hyderabad's skipper Kane Williamson. The franchise has lodged a complaint against the third umpire to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) over this controversial dismissal.

As quoted by Cricbuzz, an SRH official confirmed the same. SRH were chasing a mammoth target of 211 against RR, Williamson was batting but dismissed on Prasidh Krishna's delivery after being caught in the slips by Devdutt Padikkal. The on-field umpires couldn't give their verdict and it was referred to the third umpire. The replay suggested that the ball might have bounced before the caught but the decision went in the favour of the fielding side and Kane was given out.
