Royal Challengers Bangalore's star bowler Harshal Patel has been released from the IPL bio-bubble as he has left for home due to a death in his family. After the 7 wicket victory vs Mumbai Indians on Saturday evening, Patel immediately left for home from the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.

An IPL source informed that Patel who is from Gujarat did not board the team bus that left from Pune for Mumbai where they will play their next match against Chennai Super Kings on April 12th.

Harshal Patel, however, will be rejoining the bubble before the next game, the source further said.

Harshal Patel has so far taken 6 wickets for RCB in the 4 matches they have played in the 2022 IPL season. In the previous game vs MI, he got 2 scalps.
