Kevin Pietersen feels that Mumbai seem to have had their soul ripped out at the mega auction.

He questioned Mumbai’s decision to buy injured Jofra Archer and let Trent Boult go elsewhere. Mumbai bagged Jofra Archer for ₹8 crore during IPL 2022 mega auction and Boult was sold to Rajasthan Royals for the same amount. He further said that Trent Boult is a world-class player and left arm-seamers like Boult, are valuable in T20 because of the different angles.

Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians have lost seven out of seven matches in IPL 2022 and are placed at bottom of the points table.
