IPL 2022: Major blow for Mumbai Indians, Suryakumar Yadav ruled out of remaining season

Mumbai Indians suffered a major blow as one of their most consistent batters, Suryakumar Yadav has been ruled out of the remaining season of the IPL 2022, the franchise confirmed on Monday. Yadav has sustained a muscle strain on his left forearm. He suffered this injury on May 6 in the match played against Gujarat Titans, in which Suryakumar scored 13 runs in 11 balls. The BCCI medical team has advised the 31-year-old batter to rest, Mumbai Indians informed.

He had earlier missed 2 games of MI at the beginning of the IPL season as he was recovering from a hairline fracture in his thumb. Suryakumar Yadav has been Mumbai's 2nd highest run-scorer with 303 runs in 8 games, including 3 half-centuries.
