Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has said that Mumbai Indians will release many players including Kieron Pollard after their poor show in IPL 2022.

The cricketer-turned-analyst Aakash Chopra said that he thinks that we have seen the last of Kieron Pollard as he will be released by Mumbai Indians.

Pollard's lacklustre form was one of the reasons for Mumbai's failure this season.

Chopra further said that Murugan Ashwin and Tymal Mills will be released as well but he wasn't sure about Jaydev Unaddkat.

Notably, Windies cricketer Kieron Pollard was retained by Mumbai Indians for ₹6 crores ahead of IPL 2022. The 35-year old cricketer scored just 144 runs in 11 matches and was eventually dropped from the playing XI.
