After playing crucial innings of 52 ball 87, the skipper who has just returned from a back injury could only bowl 2.3 overs against the Royals. In the post-match presentation of Gujarat's 4th win, Pandya said, 'A lot of hard work for me tonight, it was just cramps nothing serious'

Pandya who was playing at no. 4 took his team's total to 192 after the top order failed to perform. This was his 2nd consecutive 50 in the 2022 season of IPL. He said that he is not used to batting for this long. He feels that though he could not do well in the previous game against Hyderabad, he made sure to pull it off against Rajasthan. Pandya also said that he has been playing in the role of a finisher, and playing higher up the order has helped him in controlling the game.
