Once touted as India's best finisher, MS Dhoni was yet again doing the job flawlessly as he helped Chennai Super Kings register their 2nd win of IPL 2022 with his breathtaking finish against Mumbai Indians. After losing a wicket in the last over of the game when the Ravindra Jadeja-led-side needed 17 runs to win off 5 balls, Dhoni, CSK's last hope, smashed 3 boundaries including a six, and 2 fours to take his team over the finish line.

The skipper who had faith in Dhoni's vintage touch said, 'while it was a very tense situation, the team had the belief that if Dhoni stays until the last ball of the game, he will do the job for the team, he has done that in the past for Chennai, for India, he would do that again'. Jadeja also said that with Dhoni on the crease, the situation must be alike in both dugouts (MI, CSK).
