IPL 2022: Former India pacer Ajit Agarkar set to join Delhi Capitals as assistant coach

After a successful commentary stint, India's former pacer Ajit Agarkar is set to embark on a new journey in the coaching world.

According to various media reports, Agarkar is set to join the IPL franchise Delhi Capitals as an assistant coach for the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League.

Agarkar will join the Delhi Capitals coaching set up headed by Australian Ricky Ponting after his commentary commitments for India vs Sri Lanka series.

According to a Times of India report, Agarkar will get into the Capitals' bubble just after the conclusion Sri Lanka series. Also, the Delhi-based franchise has asked the domestic players to assemble in Mumbai around March 15.

Ajit Agarkar had represented India in 26 Tests, 191 ODIs and 4 T20Is. He also played 42 IPL games before hanging his boots in 2013.
